Job Overview We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Backend Lead / Senior Developer with strong expertise in SAP BTP Cloud Foundry , SAP CAP (Node.js) , and SAP HANA . The role involves leading backend development, overseeing custom application lifecycles, and ensuring high-quality, scalable cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage backend development activities on SAP BTP , ensuring timely and quality delivery Successfully execute 2 - 3 SAP BTP implementations end-to-end Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance Oversee the complete lifecycle of custom application development: design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions Design and develop backend services and APIs using SAP CAP (Node.js, JavaScript) Develop secure and scalable APIs using REST and OData , with authentication via XSUAA and scopes Work extensively with SAP HANA including schemas, HDI containers, data modeling, and SQL optimization Manage Cloud Foundry components including subaccounts, spaces, service bindings, buildpacks, and manifest.yml Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices on SAP BTP Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies Mandatory Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in backend development Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and SQL Hands-on expertise with SAP BTP (Neo or Cloud Foundry) Strong experience with SAP HANA database Experience with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) Familiarity with Cloud Foundry deployment concepts Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
