Develop, manage, and update Revit MEP models for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems in coordination with architectural and structural models. 2. Create detailed 3D models, plans, sections, and schedules to support design documentation. 3. Maintain accurate model geometry and metadata, ensuring compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs). 4. Generate clash detection reports using tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360 Coordinate and assist in resolving design conflicts. 5. Prepare and organise construction documentation sets in accordance with company and client standards. Technical Support and Development 1. Stay up to date with industry trends, BIM technology developments, and Autodesk updates relevant to MEP systems. 2. Contribute to the development of BIM templates, standards, and libraries for internal use. Technical Skills 1. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP preferred), including family creation, parameter management, and systems modelling. 2. Working knowledge of Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, and AutoCAD MEP. 3. Familiarity with MEP design principles (HVAC zoning, electrical load distribution, plumbing routing, etc.). 4. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working for an engineering design firm leading and assisting on both commercial and residential structural engineering projects. Responsibilities of this role will include: Liaising with the in-house team and the client to procure the necessary project information. Calculation of design loads based on project location, geometry, local and state code requirements, occupancy and risk category. Design and analysis of structural members, cladding, finishes and connections based on the calculated loads using rational code-based methods and finite element analysis. Drafting and detailing of engineering plans based on design and analysis. Creating engineering calculation reports and letters for submission to clients and building departments. Prepare layout plans, structural drawings, and specifications. Use AutoCAD and analysis/design software (SAP2000) to support design development. Prepare aluminum structure plans such as screen enclosures, lanais, pool cages, carports, patio covers, and railing systems. Draft detailed drawings using AutoCAD/DeltaCAD/Revit. Communicate with project managers, clients, and permitting teams. Maintain drawing accuracy, dimensions, and quality standards. Prepare site plans, grading plans, septic plans, drainage layouts, and utility plans. Work on surveys, topography, property boundaries, and setbacks. Add existing and proposed structures, driveways, swales, contours, and easements. Prepare septic system layouts (ATU, drain field, lift station) based on FDEP standards. Coordinate with engineers for civil design corrections and approvals. Review survey PDFs and convert to CAD while maintaining accuracy. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
