Role & responsibilities This position is responsible to provide leadership & accountability for assembly shop production. Oversee & direct team members in a safe, quality-minded & productive manner to attain production priorities as scheduled. The Shift In-charge must possess excellent leadership & human relations skills, be decisive & responsible, & lead by example. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability & essential duties required to successfully perform this job. Preferred candidate profile Responsible for achieving KPIs like : Safety Monitoring critically safety indices. Quality - Zero Customer complaints, Pro-Active actions Production - JPH & OEE Achievements, Schedule Adherence Cost –Control on Consumables, rejection & rework. Morale –Workforce management, motivation, improvements with CFT approach. Ensure all resources like Man, Material, Machine availability as per plan and follow up with respective section/Dept. Conducting daily shift start up meeting with line employees to discuss Safety, QA, Productivity performance with line leaders and team members. Conducting daily production meeting with all service departments and production manager to update last days Safety, In-process Quality, Downtime, OEE, JPH performance and action plan review for improvement. Initiating actions and follow up for downtime reduction and OEE improvement. Responsible for consumable control, non std. manpower reduction, overtime reduction and other cost saving initiatives. Preparation of Multi Skill Matrix for operators & Rotation Trainings plane. Ensuring daily checks for all zones like: Shift startup check sheet/ Safety checks, Line LPA by line leaders. Parameter recording/ Red rabbit test report. First piece inspection report, Daily 5-S check sheet, Hourly production boards, Down time logs/ Break down slip, Insuring product quality as per measurement standard, if any deviation found then conducting root cause analysis and taking necessary corrective actions. Ensuring all processes run as per SOS & JES and new operator training using TWI & OJT methodology. Customer concerns, QRE feedback & PDI issues resolution: Round table meeting 8D resolution QCC, PST, YB, GB projects Control of Non-Conforming product: Rework method Rework verification Ensuring 100% PPE adherence, LOTO and Safety procedures on line and Lead by example by wearing PPE at all times. Responsible for respective line daily MIS by following SQPDCME principles Ensuring implementation of WCM through strong adherence to 5-S. TPM, Kanban methodology Accident investigation, reporting & follow through of corrective action items for near miss & safety incidents.
