Sitecore & Strapi CMS Executive

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Sitecore & Strapi CMS Executive to manage website content across both platforms, perform CMS-related updates, troubleshoot content and front-end issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of website pages.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with content creation, editing, and publishing in Sitecore and Strapi CMS, strong fundamentals in HTML and CSS, basic JavaScript knowledge, and the ability to use browser developer tools for debugging and troubleshooting.

The candidate should be a quick learner, adaptable to new technologies, and capable of working collaboratively with content, SEO, design, and technical teams across traditional and headless CMS workflows.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Website Content Management

· Manage, create, update, and maintain website content using Sitecore and Strapi CMS.

• Create and update website pages, landing pages, blogs, and other digital assets.

· Work with Sitecore components, templates, and content items, and Strapi collection types, single types, components, and content relationships within approved content models.

• Upload and manage images, documents, banners, and other media assets.
• Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and adherence to website guidelines.

· Follow approval and publishing workflows in both CMS platforms, and verify published content on the connected website across UAT and production environments.

2. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Understand and work with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

· Make approved content-level HTML and formatting adjustments where supported by the CMS; coordinate with developers for changes to front-end templates and rendering.

• Understand website layouts, tables, lists, links, headings, and other HTML elements.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic front-end display issues.
• Understand how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript impact website content and user experience.

3. Debugging and Troubleshooting

• Use Chrome Developer Tools to inspect website elements and troubleshoot issues.
• Debug basic HTML and CSS issues using the Elements and Styles panels.
• Identify broken links, incorrect formatting, layout issues, and content display problems.
• Use the Console and Network tabs to identify basic JavaScript errors and resource-loading issues.

· Perform initial investigation of CMS, publishing, and website content issues, including content missing from API responses or not displaying correctly, before escalating to the technical team.

• Coordinate with developers to resolve issues requiring code-level changes.

4. Sitecore & Strapi CMS Operations

· Understand the Sitecore content tree, content items, publishing workflow, and media library.

· Perform content creation, editing, publishing, and maintenance in Sitecore and Strapi, following configured permissions and approval processes.

· Understand how Sitecore content items and page components relate to website URLs, and how Strapi entries and content relationships are consumed by the front end through APIs.

· Troubleshoot basic CMS issues, including publishing status, missing content, media references, and validation errors; identify when developer or administrator assistance is required.

· Learn and adapt to Sitecore and Strapi features, CMS configurations, and website workflows; coordinate with developers for schema, integration, and permission changes.

· Understand the Strapi admin panel, collection types, single types, components, dynamic zones, and media library.

· Manage Strapi content entries, relationships, and draft/published states where configured, without changing approved schemas or access permissions.

· Use browser developer tools or an API client to inspect basic REST API responses and report missing fields, incorrect relationships, or content-delivery issues; escalate integration and authentication changes to developers.

5. SEO and Website Quality Checks

• Implement basic on-page SEO requirements, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and internal links.
• Ensure proper formatting and content structure.
• Perform website content checks for broken links, missing images, incorrect URLs, and formatting issues.
• Assist with basic SEO audits and website content quality checks.
• Follow website content guidelines and SEO best practices.

6. Reporting and Coordination

• Maintain task trackers and daily work updates using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Track content updates, publishing activities, and pending tasks.
• Coordinate with SEO, content, design, and technical teams.
• Follow assigned timelines and ensure timely completion of tasks.

· Document recurring issues and maintain basic process documentation for Sitecore and Strapi content workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Hands-on experience with Sitecore and Strapi CMS for content creation, editing, media management, and publishing.

• Good understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Chrome Developer Tools.
• Ability to inspect website elements and troubleshoot front-end issues.

· Understanding of CMS content structures, content relationships, publishing workflows, and website content validation across both platforms.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

· Basic understanding of headless CMS concepts, JSON, and REST APIs, including how Strapi content is delivered to a website.

· Ability to work with existing Strapi collection types, single types, components, and dynamic zones, and follow configured role-based access permissions.

Good to Have

• Experience working with Sitecore XM, XM Cloud, or Sitecore Headless.
• Basic understanding of SEO and website optimization.

· Exposure to Strapi content-model configuration, localization, or API troubleshooting in collaboration with developers.

• Basic understanding of responsive web design.
• Familiarity with website UAT and production environments.
• Basic knowledge of content audits and website quality checks.

· Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and GraphQL where used by the website.
