Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our growing product team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in product development, from concept through to execution, with a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and design innovation. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to bring new products to life and ensure existing products meet market demands. Key Responsibilities Product Development : Lead and manage the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept and research through design and production. Research & Innovation : Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, materials, and technologies to keep Sierra Living Concepts at the forefront of the industry. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with design, engineering, marketing, and production teams to ensure product designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with customer needs. Product Launch : Coordinate the launch of new products, including working with marketing to ensure proper positioning, messaging, and promotion. Customization : Ensure products can be customized based on customer preferences, maintaining the brand’s reputation for premium craftsmanship. Requirements Experience : Minimum 1-5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the furniture or home décor industry. Proven experience in managing product lifecycles, from concept through to market launch. Skills & Competencies : Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously. Deep understanding of product design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Ability to conduct in-depth market and consumer research. Proficiency in CAD software and product design tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with furniture customization processes and high-quality standards. Education : A Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus. Personal Attributes : Highly creative with a passion for design and innovation. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and craftsmanship. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable with fast-paced environments and adapting to change. Additional Skills (Preferred) Familiarity with solid wood furniture and manufacturing processes. Experience in e-commerce and understanding of consumer behavior. Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials.
