· Forecast material and equipment requirements based on project timelines and budgets. · Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand specifications · Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers/vendors. · Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules. · Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. · Monitor market trends and pricing to obtain the best value. · Compare prices, specifications, and delivery times to optimize cost-efficiency. · Track and manage budgets allocated for materials and services. · Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays. · Coordinate with warehouse and site teams to track inventory levels. · Minimize overstocking and material wastage. · Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and invoices. · Ensure purchases comply with company policies and legal regulations. · Maintain accurate procurement records for audits and reporting. · Ensure all materials meet required quality standards and specifications. · Coordinate with quality control teams for inspections and testing. · Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as delays, price fluctuations, or vendor issues · Lead and supervise a team of procurement officers or assistants. · Assign responsibilities, set KPIs, and provide training where needed.
