Key responsibilities Machine operation: Operate and monitor the VMC machine to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently. Setup: Load and unload materials, and set up and adjust machine tools as needed. Quality control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep the equipment in optimal working condition. Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Safety and efficiency: Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures. Programming (for Programmer roles): For VMC Programmer cum Operator roles, this includes creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs. Required skills and qualifications Experience in operating CNC or VMC machines is often required. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in machine operations and a strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code is beneficial. Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. For programming roles, experience with CNC programming is necessary. An ITI or diploma in a relevant technical field is often preferred.
