Job Title: Fashion Production In-Charge (Ladies Couture – Indo-Western & Ethnic Wear) Location : Bhowanipore, South Kolkata Experience: 1–3 Years CTC: ₹3,00,000 per annum Role Overview We are seeking a Fashion Production In-Charge to manage and oversee the end-to-end production lifecycle of high-end, bespoke ladies’ Indo-Western and ethnic wear. The role demands strong coordination skills, technical garment knowledge, and an eye for detail to ensure timely delivery, superior craftsmanship, and uncompromised quality across all production stages. This position is critical in translating design intent into flawless, wearable couture while maintaining production timelines and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Coordination Plan and manage production schedules for made-to-order and bespoke garments Coordinate between design, dyeing units, embroidery vendors, tailoring units, and finishing teams Ensure on-time movement of garments across all production stages Maintain production trackers and follow up on deadlines Dyeing & Fabric Processing Supervise fabric dyeing, washing, and finishing processes Ensure accurate color matching, shade consistency, and fabric quality Coordinate lab dips, strike-offs, and approvals with the design team Embroidery Management Manage hand embroidery, machine embroidery, and surface embellishments (zardozi, resham, sequins, etc.) Coordinate embroidery sampling, timelines, and corrections Ensure embroidery quality, placement accuracy, and durability Stitching & Garment Construction Oversee tailoring, fittings, alterations, and final stitching Ensure correct construction techniques for luxury and couture garments Conduct trial fittings and implement necessary changes Quality Control Conduct quality checks at every stage: fabric, dyeing, embroidery, stitching, and finishing Ensure garments meet brand standards, fit accuracy, and luxury finish expectations Identify and resolve production issues proactively Vendor & Team Coordination Liaise with artisans, karigars, tailors, and external vendors Monitor productivity, workmanship quality, and timelines Maintain healthy working relationships with internal and external teams Cost & Material Awareness Track fabric, trims, and work-in-progress garments Minimize wastage and rework Support costing accuracy by monitoring labor and material usage Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Indian couture garment construction Understanding of fabrics, dyeing techniques, embroidery styles, and finishes Ability to read and execute design briefs, measurements, and production sheets Soft Skills Excellent coordination and communication skills Strong attention to detail and quality orientation Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle pressure Organized, disciplined, and deadline-driven Who Should Apply Candidates passionate about luxury fashion, craftsmanship, and bespoke couture Professionals eager to grow within a premium fashion brand environment Individuals comfortable working with artisans and small-batch production
