Company: Shmooz Location: On-site – Umra, Surat Job Type: Full-time Experience: 2–4 years (strong freshers welcome) About the Role Shmooz is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a Backend Developer who can work across the platform, design scalable systems, and take ownership of backend features. You’ll be involved in both building new features and maintaining existing systems , working closely with frontend and product teams. What You’ll Work With Backend: Laravel (PHP) Database: PostgreSQL APIs: REST Async: Queues & Jobs Auth: Firebase + Custom (transitioning to fully custom) Infrastructure: Basic server setup, CI/CD, monitoring & logs What We’re Looking For Strong backend fundamentals Hands-on experience with Laravel and REST APIs Ability to design and evolve database schemas Comfortable handling ambiguity and making decisions Ownership-driven mindset Willingness to work on-site in Surat We value skills and thinking over years of experience . Strong freshers with good fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
