We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales & Merchandising Director(Country Manager) for our Tirupur branch to lead the Sales and Merchandising operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the apparel industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing client relationships, driving business development, and ensuring on-time delivery with high quality standards. [Key Responsibilities] Branch Management: Lead the overall operations of the Tirupur branch including sales, merchandising, and team management Manage end-to-end order execution: costing, product development, sampling, approvals, and final shipments. Cost Management & Supplier Negotiations: Lead cost negotiations with suppliers, ensuring materials are sourced in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality. Continuously improve cost structures to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive growth. Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets and ensure alignment with the branch's overall performance and objectives Monitor production timelines, prepare and execute TNA plans, and handle troubleshooting as needed. Coordinate with internal departments such as QA, planning, and production teams. Develop and maintain strong relationships with international buyers and factories. [Required Qualifications & Skills] Minimum 10–15 years of experience in sales and merchandising in the apparel manufacturing industry Strong knowledge of all kinds of knit & woven products Hands-on experience working with overseas factories and vertically integrated units Bachelor’s degree in a related field; PG Diploma in Apparel/Business Management is a plus. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a high-performing team. [Preferred Qualifications] Strong negotiation and cost management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Solid understanding of international apparel markets (USA, EU and other regions) High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ERP systems and MS Office proficiency [Working Conditions] Based in Tirupur with occasional travel to factories or client sites Standard working days: Monday to Friday (8:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
