Corporate Supply Chain Manager chennai 10 - 15 years INR 15.0 - 17.0 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

Role & responsibilities Responsible for managing the overall supply chain at the corporate level, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, inventory, logistics, vendor management, and coordination with all manufacturing units. Material Planning & Procurement Plan and manage procurement of RM & PM (ENA, spirit, bottles, labels, caps, cartons, etc.). Negotiate rates, finalize suppliers, and ensure cost-effective buying. Track material requirements and availability across all plants. Inventory & Stock Management Monitor stock levels at all units and ensure optimal inventory. Identify slow-moving, excess, and shortage materials; implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate MIS and stock reports. Logistics & Transportation Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with transport partners. Optimize freight costs and ensure timely dispatch/delivery. Ensure compliance with excise and regulatory requirements. Vendor Management Manage overall supplier performance on quality, pricing, and delivery. Conduct regular vendor performance reviews. New Vendor Development Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for RM/PM and services. Conduct capability assessments, plant visits, sample approvals, and commercial evaluation. Ensure a robust and diversified supplier base to reduce dependency and cost risk. Vendor Audit with Cross-Functional Teams Lead vendor audits along with QA, Production, and Finance teams. Review technical capabilities, quality systems, compliance, and capacity. Implement corrective action plans, improvement areas, and periodic re-evaluation. Packaging & Design Coordination Coordinate bottle, label, carton, and packaging development requirements. Ensure timely delivery of new packaging items for launches and promotions. ERP & Data Management Manage SCM activities in ERP (POs, GRNs, inventory updates). Ensure accuracy of master data and reporting dashboards. Cost Control Support zero-based costing and cost-saving initiatives. Identify opportunities in materials, logistics, and vendor negotiations. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Sales, Design, Finance, and Dispatch teams. Resolve material issues, support NPD, and ensure smooth operations. Preferred candidate profile Key Skills Strong SCM, procurement, vendor development, and logistics expertise. Good negotiation, supplier evaluation, and communication skills. ERP/SAP knowledge, analytical ability, and cross-functional coordination. Experience & Qualification Graduate / B.Tech / MBA in SCM or Operations. 815 years of experience in SCM (Liquor/FMCG preferred).
