We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Middle Office Analyst to support our investment team. This role sits at the intersection of our front office (investment professionals) and operations, playing a crucial part in bridging information flows and ensuring the smooth execution of various research and analytical tasks. You will be instrumental in providing timely insights and critical support for post-investment projects. Key Responsibilities Investor Reporting and Fund Accounting Ad-Hoc Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely ad-hoc reports, presentations, and analyses for the front office and senior management, responding to diverse information requests. Company Research & Updates: Conduct preliminary company research to support investment theses, gather relevant data, and prepare concise company updates and summaries. Data Management & Presentation: Assist in collecting, organizing, and presenting financial data and insights in a clear, digestible format, utilizing strong PowerPoint and Excel skills. Memo Preparation: Draft clear, concise, and grammatically correct short memos and communications summarizing findings or updates for internal stakeholders. Financial Concept Application: Apply a basic understanding of financial concepts, including but not limited to IRR, MOIC, Revenue, Gross Profit, and other fundamental financial metrics, to analysis and reporting. Market Monitoring: Develop a foundational understanding of financial markets and instruments to contextualize research and data. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance middle office processes and contribute to operational efficiencies. Who You Are Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in a finance or finance-related role, preferably within asset management, banking, or financial services. Basic understanding of financial markets, investment concepts, and company financial statements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, including writing short memos. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Self-starter mentality: Highly motivated, independent, and able to take initiative to drive tasks to completion. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexibility with working hours is required, with a preference for candidates who can align with a UK business hours schedule to overlap with India and USA East Coast time zones Strong presentation skills, capable of conveying information effectively to various audiences.
