Senior Technical Specialist - Java Backend Development

As a Senior Technical Specialist at our company, you will utilize your deep expertise in Java backend development and cloud-native architectures to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-volume distributed systems. Your role will involve working on cutting-edge platforms and services, making architecture decisions, and mentoring junior developers within the team. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing scalable microservices using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, as well as building and supporting cloud-native applications using AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, and EKS. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle, from design to implementation, testing, deployment, and support, ensuring the development of highly available, high-throughput systems capable of handling millions of transactions per day. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate strong debugging and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues in both production and test environments. Collaboration with architects, QA, DevOps, and product managers is key to delivering high-quality software on time while following Agile practices. Additionally, mentoring junior developers and contributing to building a strong engineering culture are essential aspects of this position. The ideal candidate will possess 8+ years of hands-on software development experience focusing on Java (11 or higher) and Spring Boot, along with proven experience in building and managing high-volume, distributed systems. A solid understanding of RESTful APIs, hands-on experience with AWS services, strong problem-solving and debugging skills in high-scale environments, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and caching technologies for performance optimization are required skills. Experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code tools, Kafka, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, containerization, and orchestration are considered advantageous.
