Job Description

Role & responsibilities Work as part of the Structural Engineering Team with specific responsibilities & Complete the work as a Structural lead engineer of pipe-rack, equipment supporting structure, shelter, platform, miscellaneous support, lifting & transportation and those foundation for oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects: Coordination in terms of structural engineering with client, other disciplines, piping & structural layout engineers, engineering subcontractors etc,. Prepare design specification, standard drawing, work instructions and procedures. Plan structural layout at the initial stage of engineering and update as per requirements and instructions on stick-built or module structures. Structural analysis as per relevant international codes and/or project specifications/guidelines. Control design status and schedule for structural activities. Control cost (man-hour and BQ) for structural activities. Check engineering subcontractors products(3D model, MTO data, design drawing, calculation notes and foundation loading data etc,.) Review vendors drawing and other disciplines drawing. Review 3D model and coordinate structural layout with other disciplines and engineering subcontractors to avoid clashes. Coordination design changes with other disciplines, engineering subcontractor to minimize impact. Communication and coordination with steel fabricators, construction subcontractors and engineering subcontractors. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Experience in design of Onshore & Offshore structures with Area Lead Capability for large oil & Gas / Petrochemical facilities. (Modular Engineering Experience is necessary) Work experience of more than 10 years in all facets of plant structural engineering and design of stick-built /module (onshore and offshore) large Oil & Gas / petrochemical facility development. Knowledge of structural engineering input and output. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as AISC, ASCE, ACI, PIP, Euro and BS etc,.) for steel and concrete structural design. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as ASCE, UBC etc...) for wind load and seismic load. Knowledge of transport analysis of module structure. Knowledge of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation. Knowledge of plant facilities (Piping, Electrical, Instrument, Equipment etc.) in oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects. Knowledge of design information of plant facilities (Piping, Electrical, Instrument, Equipment etc,.) in oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects. STAAD PRO operation skills. Basic knowledge of 3D modeling philosophy. Calculation knowledge of connection capacity. Navisworks operation skills. MS office operation skills.
