Senior Staff Engineer-Compute WoS Thermal Analysis & Optimization

As a member of the Power/Thermal Software products team at Qualcomm, you will play a crucial role in achieving industry-leading power/thermal/limit software management solutions for a variety of Qualcomm chipsets used in mobile, automotive, compute, IoT, and AR/VR devices. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify power optimizations and performance tuning, as well as conducting thermal/limits hardware tuning, characterization, risk assessment, and providing optimized solutions with proper mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Perform system-level analysis of power/thermal use cases - Collaborate with Architecture, HW design, Performance, Power/Thermal Systems, and various software teams to develop optimal system-level power/thermal software solutions - Develop tools and methodologies for competitive analysis to identify competitors" strengths and weaknesses - Design thermal mitigation schemes that are considered best in the industry Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - 10+ years of experience in embedded systems design & development with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Systems/HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks - Knowledge of operating systems concepts, debug tools, and power/thermal management software development Qualcomm is committed to providing equal opportunities and accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the application and hiring process.
