Senior SDET (Test Engineer)

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at our Bangalore office, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust automated test suites for backend services using Python. Your key responsibilities will include integrating automated tests into our internal test framework and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with developers and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage, and identifying gaps in test coverage to enhance the overall testing strategy. In case of any test failures, you will investigate and troubleshoot to maintain the reliability of the test suite. Additionally, you will continuously optimize and enhance the automation framework to improve efficiency and maintainability. To be successful in this role, you should have 5 to 8 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation using Python. Proficiency in writing robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation scripts is essential, along with hands-on experience in testing backend systems, APIs, and data workflows. Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools like PyTest, unittest, or similar is required, as well as an understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience in integrating test suites. A good grasp of software QA methodologies, processes, and best practices is expected, along with the ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned modules, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are also crucial for this role. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as health insurance and Provident Fund.
