Senior Resident Pathology

In this role of Senior Resident in Pathology at SMSIMSR, you will be a crucial part of the diagnostic backbone of clinical services, aiding physicians in making accurate decisions and contributing to teaching, research, and academic excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform grossing, processing, and reporting of histopathology and cytopathology specimens - Interpret biopsy, FNAC, PAP smears, and fluid cytology reports accurately - Supervise and assist with routine hematology, clinical pathology, and special stains - Collaborate with clinicians for clinicopathological correlation (CPC) - Engage in hospital tumor boards, academic discussions, and interdepartmental meetings - Train and mentor junior residents, interns, and undergraduate medical students - Maintain precise lab records, ensure quality assurance, and comply with documentation requirements - Participate in departmental audits, NABL/NABH compliance processes, and case reviews - Assist in research activities, publications, and poster/paper presentations - Support departmental initiatives in academic growth, CME programs, and conferences **Qualifications Required:** - MD/DNB in Pathology recognized by NMC - 0-3 years of post-qualification experience At SMSIMSR, you will have the chance to work in a fully functional diagnostic laboratory with modern infrastructure and be part of a teaching hospital with a strong academic and clinical integration.
