Senior Release Manager - SRE

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to manage the end-to-end release process for our SaaS products. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations teams to ensure smooth, reliable, and timely software releases across multiple environments. The role focuses on release planning, deployment coordination, automation, risk management, and continuous improvement to improve delivery speed and software stability.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in Release Management, DevOps, or software delivery, preferably in SaaS.

Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Experience with tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Argo CD, Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent.

Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Experience managing releases across multiple teams and environments.

Knowledge of deployment strategies, rollback planning, and change management.

Understanding of DORA metrics and software delivery KPIs.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, risks, and deadlines.

Nice To Have

Experience with SaaS multi-tenant architectures.

Knowledge of compliance standards such as SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS.

Familiarity with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

Experience with feature flags, canary releases, and blue-green deployments.

ITIL or Release Management certification.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end software release planning, scheduling, and execution.

Maintain release calendars across products and environments.

Coordinate with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure release readiness.

Manage production and pre-production deployments.

Oversee CI/CD pipelines and improve release automation.

Conduct release readiness reviews and go/no-go meetings.

Identify and manage release risks, dependencies, and issues.

Track release metrics, including deployment frequency, success rate, and change failure rate.

Ensure compliance with change management, security, and regulatory requirements.

Communicate release plans, status, and issues to stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement in release processes and practices.

Participate in the on-call roster and provide weekend support when required.

Pay: ₹2,718,000.00 - ₹3,380,000.00 per year
