Senior Product Stewardship Specialist

As an IMDS and CAMDS Expert at Garrett, you will be responsible for creating and managing regulatory documents required by customers in IMDS and CAMDS systems. You will also be in charge of communicating with customers and suppliers regarding product compliance. Your role will involve taking a project from its initial concept through to final implementation. This includes defining the scope and objectives of the project and sharing project status updates with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure continued compliance with EU REACH legislation. - Possess strong knowledge and awareness of regulations related to End-of-life vehicles, including RRR requirements. - Manage and control Substance of Concern (SOC) through the IMDS platform. - Validate end-to-end supplier materials in the IMDS platform and ensure IMDS reports align with customer requirements, national and international standards, as well as laws and regulations. - Assist customers and internal stakeholders by providing IMDS reports and compliance inquiry answers for all stages of new product introduction and serial production. - Conduct analysis on regulations such as ROHS, REACH, Prop-65, CMRT, IMDS, CAMDS, TSCA, and other compliance-related regulations. - Communicate with component suppliers to obtain necessary compliance information and validate received data. - Provide training to suppliers. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in any engineering field, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental. - 8-10 years of relevant experience. - Sound knowledge of EU ELV, GADSL, EU REACH, EU RoHS, and Conflict Mineral regulations. - Understanding of materials planning software such as SAP and IMDS. - Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly. - Good leadership skills to train, guide, and mentor less experienced team members. Key Skills and Knowledge: - Expertise in IMDS, EU ELV, REACH, RoHS, and conflict mineral regulations. - Understanding of ELV regulations, GADSL, EU REACH substances, EU RoHS, and more. - Knowledge of material types such as Plastics, Metals, Electronics, etc. - Familiarity with material grades and their compositions. - Proficiency in handling customer product stewardship requests. - SCIP awareness. - Responsible for delivering assignments/projects with required quality and within the given time.
