Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst to own the analytics layer behind Pluang's product decisions. You will work directly with Product Managers across our asset classes — Global Stocks, Crypto and Indonesian Equities — to define how we measure success, find where users drop off or thrive, and turn data into clear product recommendations.
This is a product role, not a reporting role. We want someone who frames the right question before running the query, works independently through ambiguous problems, and brings a point of view to the table. You will have high ownership and a direct line of sight from your analysis to what ships. You will use AI tools like Claude as a core part of how you work, to take analysis deeper and faster than traditional approaches allow.
What You'll Do
Shape Product Decisions with Data
- Partner with Product Managers to define success metrics, guardrails and North Star measures for features and product lines.
- Frame ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, and drive them end to end: from hypothesis to recommendation.
- Bring a point of view to roadmap discussions — size opportunities, quantify trade-offs, and flag what the data does and does not support.
- Present insights clearly to product, design, engineering and leadership audiences.
Own Product Health and Funnels
- Build and maintain funnels across key investor journeys: onboarding and KYC, funding, first trade, repeat trading and retention.
- Run cohort, retention and engagement analyses to understand how different investor segments behave across asset classes.
- Track feature adoption and post-launch performance, and turn findings into concrete next steps for the product team.
- Set up dashboards and alerts that let PMs self-serve on day-to-day metrics, so analysis time goes to deeper questions.
Drive Experimentation
- Design A/B tests with PMs: hypotheses, sample sizes, success criteria and test duration.
- Analyse results rigorously, call out biases and noise, and give a clear ship / iterate / stop recommendation.
- Help build a consistent experimentation practice across product teams.
Strengthen the Analytics Layer
- Work hands-on in BigQuery and Mixpanel (and similar tools) to query, model and interpret product and user behaviour data.
- Define event tracking and instrumentation requirements with PMs and engineers, and ensure data is reliable before decisions are made on it.
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team, who own pipelines and infrastructure, so the right data is available for product questions.
Use AI for Deeper, Faster Analysis
- Use AI tools such as Claude as a core part of your workflow: to explore data, write and review SQL and Python, test hypotheses and surface patterns faster.
- Go deeper than manual analysis allows: synthesise user feedback at scale, root-cause metric movements, and model scenarios quickly.
- Check AI-generated output rigorously: the logic, the data and the numbers must hold up before they inform a decision.
- Build reusable AI-assisted workflows and share them, so PMs and the wider team can answer more questions themselves.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
- 3–4 years of experience in product analytics, ideally embedded within a product team rather than a central data or BI function.
- Experience in fintech, with a strong preference for brokerage, trading or investment platforms.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large, event-level datasets.
- Hands-on experience with funnel, cohort, retention and experimentation analysis.
- Structured problem-solving: able to break an open-ended question into a clear analytical approach without step-by-step direction.
- A track record of high ownership — analyses you drove to a decision, not just delivered.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn findings into a crisp recommendation.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) in your analytical work, with good judgement on when to rely on their output and when to verify it.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GCP / BigQuery and Mixpanel, or equivalent product analytics tools (Amplitude, CleverTap, Looker, Metabase).
- Python or R for deeper statistical analysis.
- Understanding of retail investing journeys — KYC, funding, order placement, portfolio and P&L.
- Exposure to Indian/US/Indonesian equities or Crypto markets.
- Experience working with distributed teams across countries.
- Personal interest in investing and financial markets.
Why Join Pluang?
- Competitive compensation package and performance-based incentives.
- Direct impact: your analysis shapes what ships across a multi-asset investing platform.
- High ownership and close work with Product, Engineering, Design and leadership.
- Exposure to global and Indonesian investing products and financial markets.
- Learning and development opportunities with strong mentorship and career growth.
- Flexible policies that support work-life balance and employee well-being.
