We are hiring an MIS & Business Analyst with 8–10 years of experience, strong BI skills and working knowledge of AI, for our Mumbai office.

Role Summary
The MIS & Business Analyst turns raw business data into reliable reports, dashboards and insights that leadership can act on. You will own our MIS framework end to end, build BI dashboards, and use AI and automation to make reporting faster and smarter. We want a sharp analytical mind with strong business acumen who can tell management not just what happened, but why and what to do next.
Key ResponsibilitiesMIS and reporting
- Design, own and run the MIS framework: daily, weekly and monthly reports for sales, finance, operations and management
- Ensure data accuracy by reconciling across systems and fixing gaps at the source
- Prepare management reviews and performance packs with clear commentary on drivers, variances and risks
- Standardise report formats, definitions and KPIs across teams and businesses
BI and dashboards
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or similar tools, with automated data refresh
- Create data models, queries and pipelines (SQL, Power Query, DAX) that pull from ERP, Tally, CRM and other sources
- Track KPIs such as sales, margins, inventory, collections, productivity and cost, and set up alerts for deviations
Business analysis
- Analyse trends, cohorts, profitability and demand to support pricing, planning and growth decisions
- Translate business questions into analysis, and analysis into clear recommendations
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business reviews with data-backed inputs
- Partner with business heads to define requirements for reports, tools and process improvements
AI and automation
- Apply AI tools and models to automate reporting, speed up analysis, detect anomalies and improve forecasting
- Identify high-value use cases for AI and automation across functions, and run them from pilot to adoption
- Use Python, Excel automation or no-code tools to cut manual effort and reduce errors
Stakeholder management
- Work with leadership, sales, finance, HR, supply chain and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver insights
- Train users on dashboards and self-serve reporting, and drive data-led decision-making across the organisation
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate or postgraduate in Commerce, Engineering, Statistics, IT or Business; MBA or a data and analytics certification preferred
- 8–10 years of experience in MIS, business analysis or data analytics, with at least 3–4 years in a senior or lead role
- Strong MIS expertise: building and running reporting frameworks that management relies on
- Strong BI skills: expert-level Power BI or Tableau, including data modelling, DAX and dashboard design
- Advanced MS Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) and good SQL skills
- AI knowledge: hands-on use of AI tools and generative AI for analysis and automation, with understanding of AI use cases in business reporting and forecasting
- Working knowledge of Python or similar for data analysis and automation is a strong plus
- Familiarity with ERP and accounting data (Tally, SAP or similar) and with sales, inventory and finance metrics
- Strong analytical thinking: can break down problems, find the real drivers and present clear conclusions
- Sound business acumen: understands how revenue, margin, cost and cash flow link to business performance
- Excellent communication and storytelling with data for senior management
- Willingness to work six days a week from our Charni Road, Mumbai office
Good to Have
- Experience in retail, electronics, distribution or e-commerce businesses
- Exposure to cloud data platforms and data warehousing
- Experience building AI-assisted reporting, forecasting or automation solutions
- Prior experience leading a small MIS or analytics team
