Senior Manager/AGM Production DEPARTMENT - Production REPORTING TO - Plant Head PRIME FUNCTION - Responsible for all Production activities for smooth flow of operations in Plant-2. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure customer schedules are prepared by the planner as per customer schedule & it is circulated to all the concerned. Ensure the planner communicates the revisions in Customer schedule and production team has updated the same. Monitoring the Dept objectives targets monthly and taking appropriate preventive and corrective action. Schedule production in order to meet customer requirements. Ensure machine-loading plan is prepared in line with monthly customer schedule. Ensure manpower matrix is prepared and revised as and when required and get it approved by the management. Ensure the availability manpower as per manpower matrix and co-ordinate with HR for any shortage of manpower. Ensure the timely availability of material in co-ordination with supply chain. Ensure effective co-ordination with Maintenance, Tool planning, Quality and other departments for any issues and sort out the same. Ensure quality of the component in each stage of the line. Ensure necessary Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) is taken for any deviation in product quality and issues related to 4M Ensure PQCDSMEn (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale) are monitored and maintained and employees are communicated on the same Ensure the control of documents and records is maintained. Co-ordinate with customer for any delivery or quality related issues. Co-ordinate with NPD (New Product Development) during new product sign off and ensure new products are handed over as per the defined procedure. Ensure contingency measures are prepared for all the bottleneck processes, machine, equipment and labour and made available. Ensure the set Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is achieved and CAPA is taken to address production loss hours. Lead the daily production meeting / sunrise meeting and ensure the necessary actions are taken by concern team for the discussed issues. Ensure optimum utilization of plant capacity. Identify the wastes (7 wastes of operation) and take necessary actions to minimize / avoid the same. Discuss with management to facilitate investment decision and expansion of the production lines. Ensure better implementation of shop floor layout. Ensure necessary Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) is taken for the observations raised during the internal and external audits. Monitor the implementation of QMS, EMS, OHSAS, EnMS (Quality Management System) in the shop floor. Ensure effective usage of SAP - PP module. Ensure batch quantity, Kanban and FIFO systems are followed for effective inventory management in the line. Verify and submit the Management Information System (MIS) report. Present the performance of the department in Management Review Meeting. Motivate employees to participate in Small Group Activities (SGA) such as QCC and Kaizen. Evaluate and update skill matrix of team members. AUTHORITY Approve Machine-loading plan. Approve the projects implemented by team members. Approve the revisions in the production plan. Approve the Extra hours planned by shift in-charges. Performance evaluation / Appraisal of Team members COMPETENCY B.E with 10+ / Diploma with 15+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge on machining process. Knowledge of SAP PP Module Transactions. Knowledge of TS16949 Requirements & EMS, OHSMS & EnMS documentation. Knowledge on Production management. Knowledge on Customer Specific Requirement (CSR). Good presentation and communication skill. PERFORMANCE MEASURES/ OBJECTIVES Achieve on time delivery by fulfilling the customer schedule. Achieve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Avoid Customer Complaints Manpower and crisis management. Reduce cost through continual improvement projects. Improve housekeeping level in the shop floor. Achieve Zero Accidents / Incidents
