Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for content management platforms. The role involves building Java and Spring Boot services, REST APIs, workflow automation, metadata validation, and integrations with internal content and video platforms.

You will work on distributed systems that manage content and metadata throughout the content lifecycle, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, REST APIs, asynchronous workflows, and integration components using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build workflow automation and bulk-operation capabilities to improve operational efficiency.
• Implement metadata validation, business rules, publishing, scheduling, and downstream content-transfer workflows.
• Integrate CMS services with internal content, asset, and video platforms.
• Implement reliable processing mechanisms using retries, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Improve observability through logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and processing-status tracking.
• Develop audit trails and ensure traceability of content and metadata changes.
• Ensure production readiness through testing, performance optimization, security, deployment, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with frontend and full-stack engineers to design effective APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Python and backend application development.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, preferably S3, SQS, and SNS.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Kafka, message queues, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with databases, query optimization, and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Understanding of logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience and Education

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• Experience building and operating production-grade distributed systems.

Contract Details: This is a full-time, 6-month contractual position requiring on-site work in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bengaluru, Karnataka
