Senior Graphic Designer ( Packaging & Brand Design)

About the Role

Manipal Digital is looking for a creatively driven and detail-oriented Senior Graphic Designer with a strong foundation in graphic design and hands-on experience in packaging design.

The ideal candidate should possess a formal education in Graphic Design or Visual Communication from a reputed design institute, coupled with 46 years of industry experience, preferably across FMCG, F&B or consumer brands.

The candidate will be responsible for conceptualising, designing and executing packaging solutions, along with developing brand communication assets and adapting creative concepts across multiple formats. A strong understanding of packaging structures, artwork development, print production and pre-press requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and develop creative packaging designs in alignment with brand guidelines, briefs and marketing objectives.
• Create and execute primary, secondary and tertiary packaging designs across different product categories.
• Develop packaging artworks, layouts, adaptations and design extensions across multiple SKUs and variants.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of typography, colour theory, composition, hierarchy and visual storytelling.
• Work on brand identity, key visuals, marketing collaterals and other graphic design requirements as needed.
• Prepare print-ready artworks, ensuring technical accuracy, artwork specifications and production feasibility.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients and production vendors to ensure smooth execution from concept to final output.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining creative quality and adhering to timelines.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across all design adaptations and packaging deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design or Visual Communication from a reputed design institute.
• 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, with

  packaging design experience being a mandatory requirement

• Strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on packaging design projects, preferably in FMCG, F&B or consumer goods.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign is preferred.
• Sound understanding of packaging artwork development, dielines, keyline layouts (KLD), print processes etc
• Ability to translate creative briefs into visually compelling and commercially viable design solutions.
• Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities and an eye for aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced creative environment.

Good to Have

• Experience working with large FMCG brands or multi-SKU packaging portfolios.
• Knowledge of 3D packaging visualisation and mock-up development.
• Understanding of different packaging substrates, printing techniques.
• Experience working in a creative agency or an in-house studio/brand design team.
