As a Senior Consultant specializing in GL Close/FP&A/Record to Report Transformation within the Banking/Asset Management sector at EY, you will be involved in finance transformation initiatives focusing on General Ledger (GL) Close, FP&A, and Record to Report operations within Financial Services firms. Your role will require a combination of deep process expertise and proficiency in technology platforms such as Oracle, Workday, Adaptive, and PowerApps to deliver value by enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy through best-in-class processes and tools. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct detailed assessments for FP&A processes, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and finance close. - Document current state processes using process mapping and modeling tools to visualize the current finance operating model. - Translate findings into a gap analysis to highlight priorities for redesign, automation, and standardization. - Facilitate budget, forecast, and reporting activities within the FP&A cycle. - Manage GL Close activities, oversee period end tasks, reconciliations, journal entries, and ensure compliance with corporate and accounting standards. - Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy of financial statements and adherence to accounting policies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive integrated finance transformation. - Develop future-state processes defining roles, responsibilities, and control mechanisms for the To-Be finance operating model. - Identify opportunities to optimize finance processes through standardization and automation using RPA, Data Transformation, and Workflow transformation tools. **Key Skills:** - Understanding of FP&A processes, financial reporting standards, and management reporting. - Experience in conducting As-Is and To-Be process assessments with the ability to influence stakeholders and senior leadership. - Skilled in process re-engineering and technology-enabled transformation. - Experience with Finance Systems such as Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Adaptive, and Workiva. - Experience in stakeholder engagement and translating business needs into solutions. **Education:** - Strong exposure to working in Finance Services domain across Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, and Capital Markets. - Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or relevant field. **Experience Requirements:** - 6+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or transformation roles. - Track record of driving finance process improvements, close cycle optimization, automation implementations, and compliance in GL Close, FP&A, and R2R functions.
