Senior Engineer - AI Systems Engineer (Auto/Robotics)

As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enable the development of cutting-edge technology. You will collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design state-of-the-art low-level perception (LLP), end-to-end models, Vision-Language models (VLM), and Vision-Language-Action models (VLA) for Autonomous Driving and Robotics use cases - Focus on achieving accuracy-latency Pareto optimality in deploying networks on the Qualcomm Ride platform - Comprehend state-of-the-art research in deep learning, Vision Transformers, multi-modal fusion, lifting 2D features to Bird's Eye View (BEV) space, and applications to VLM/VLA Models - Collaborate with advanced R&D teams of leading automotive OEMs and Qualcomm's internal stack teams to enhance speed, accuracy, power consumption, and latency of deep networks on Snapdragon Ride AI accelerators - Understand machine learning algorithms related to Automotive and Robotics use cases, develop efficient networks, utilize Neural Architecture Search (NAS) techniques, network quantization, and pruning - Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various horizontal AI teams **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience OR Master's degree with 1+ year of experience OR PhD in relevant field - 5+ years of experience in the relevant domain preferred - Proficiency in software development, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities - Strong understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals - Hands-on experience in deep learning network design and implementation using PyTorch - Experience with neural network quantization, compression, pruning algorithms, and deep learning kernel/compiler optimization Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.
