Specialisation: 5-Axis & Multi-Axis CNC Machining
Industry: Aerospace & Precision Engineering Manufacturing
Company: Trusted Aerospace Engineering (TASE)
Who We Are
Trusted Aerospace Engineering (TASE) is a global aerospace and precision engineering manufacturing company with over four decades of industry experience, delivering high-precision components and engineering solutions to customers worldwide.
The Opportunity
Are you passionate about advanced CNC programming and hands-on machining?
At TASE, we offer an opportunity to take complete ownership of the CNC programming and machining process — from developing programs using CATIA V5 and validating toolpaths through VERICUT to deploying programs directly on CNC machines and proving out the components yourself.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work closely with advanced 5-axis and multi-axis CNC machining centres, translating complex aerospace designs into precision-manufactured components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise CNC machining programs using CATIA V5 Machining for complex 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis and multi-axis machining applications.
- Perform toolpath simulation, collision detection and program verification using VERICUT.
- Independently deploy developed NC programs on CNC machines and carry out machine-level prove-outs.
- Perform machine setup, tool setting, work offsets, program adjustments and machining trials to achieve first-time-right components.
- Develop machining strategies, cutting tool selections, fixtures, workholding arrangements and machining parameters.
- Work with aerospace materials such as Aluminium, Titanium, Inconel and other engineering alloys.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimise cycle time, tool life, dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling and Quality teams during new product development and production implementation.
- Maintain NC program documentation and ensure compliance with applicable aerospace quality and customer requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Aerospace Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant experience in CNC / NC programming, preferably in aerospace or precision engineering manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in CATIA V5 Machining and practical experience with VERICUT.
- Good understanding of 5-axis and multi-axis CNC machining principles and machining strategies.
- Practical experience in CNC machine setup, program deployment, prove-outs and machining troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, workholding systems and machining parameters.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models and GD&T.
- Familiarity with CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Heidenhain.
- Experience machining aerospace materials and complex structural components will be an advantage.
Why Join TASE?
- Work directly with advanced CNC machining technologies and complex aerospace components.
- Own the complete journey from CAM programming to actual machine prove-out.
- Gain exposure to challenging 5-axis and multi-axis machining applications.
- Be part of new product development, process innovation and manufacturing optimisation.
- Work alongside experienced engineering and manufacturing teams in a growing aerospace manufacturing environment.
If you enjoy taking a CNC program from the computer screen to the actual machine and transforming complex designs into precision aerospace components, this opportunity is for you!
