Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Founding Role About SellMyPlot (SMP) SMP is building India’s first regulated marketplace for verified land transactions. We solve the biggest pain points in real estate: trust, transparency, and due diligence. Our platform combines verified listings, a unique one-way buyer–seller communication system, and agent-managed closures to make land deals seamless. We’re currently pre-revenue but operational, with a working product developed by an external team. The next leap is bringing a long-term CTO on board to own the tech vision and execution. The Role As our CTO and core founding member , you’ll: Phase 1 – Lead existing dev team: Take control of the outsourced tech team, set direction, ensure quality, and push the platform to market readiness. Phase 2 – Build in-house tech team: Transition SMP from external dependency to an in-house tech team you recruit, mentor, and lead. Own SMP’s entire tech roadmap: infrastructure, automation, integrations, scaling, and security. Work side-by-side with the founder to align product and business needs. Compensation Structure Initial Stage (Pre-revenue): Revenue-share model (X% of monthly revenue, capped at ₹X).(can be discussed) Growth Stage (Post-revenue milestone): Transition to a salaried position with equity vesting , securing both stability and long-term upside. Who You Are Strong full-stack or product engineering background, with leadership ability. Comfortable managing outsourced teams and later building an in-house team. Strategic thinker who can balance speed with scalability. Passionate about solving real estate trust & tech problems in India. Willing to commit long-term (12–18 months pre-salary stage).
