Coordinator , SEWA Sangini Punjab Female candidate Job type - Full-time Schedule- Day shift Job description SEWA Punjab -Sangini is a social enterprise and a mutual benefit trust that provides specialised skill training in caregiver services including Homecare, Eldercare and Childcare to underpriviledged / marginalised women from low income group communities from Punjab , equipping them with the skills required to place and retain them in their work place. We are looking for a Coordinator with knowledge and expertise in the social development sector (esp working with women beneficiaries), to manage and coordinate crucial activities of Sangini as per targets and project timelines, as well as meeting the placement targets wherein trained Sangini caregivers must be placed with good wages and good working conditions to enable them to access good quality work opportunities as caregivers. The Sangini Coordinator should have ability to strategise and prioritise in planning, implementing and supervising the Sangini program, its mobilising and placement strategy, as well as to mainitain quality and pace in training and placements of women candidates in Moga, Gurdaspur and Tricity. The women caregivers will also be armed with soft skills, grooming and a professional mindset in order to have a dedicated pool of Sangini caregivers in Punjab . For trained Sanginis, placements could range from households, hospitals, nursing homes to institutional spaces, such as offices and creches etc. Once placed the Sangini caregivers are tracked through regular phone calls and supervision meetings with empoyers and monthly sangini careworkers meetings at the Sangini centre. In line with SEWA’s approach, Sangini's objective is to be able to effect significant changes in the working conditions of domestic workers and caregivers including benefits such as paid leaves, improved working conditions and developing a specialised collective of Sangini caregivers in Punjab. We are looking for a field worker mobilisations with knowledge and expertise in the field and community engagement work (esp working with women beneficiaries), to plan and implement crucial Mobilisation activities of Sangini , including local Tricity and Rural area mobilisations as per targets and timelines, across Punjab. She will be responsible to mobilize candidates and link them to Sangini training and potential employer opportunities / placements. She will ensure all field regulations are followed and the willing candidates and interested employers have been properly verified and profiled. The Field officer of Sangini will work closely with Sangini Trainer cum Coordinator to mobilize needy and willing candidates from Tricity and rural areas of Punjab with the resposnbile to maintain pace in mobilisation activities, while assessing the candidates for their willingness and commitment, through door to door visits, meeting with their family and gorup gatherings. The field officer must explore and visit different rural areas , identify stakeholders willing to support and coordinate with the identified women candidates to ensure their documents are in place, as well as for applying for their police verification. She is responsible to complete the required documentation and send candidates for training to the centre/venues as per targets. She is expected to ensure that trained sanginis have access to and are provided good placements in verified households, creches, schools, offices or in hospitals as per their proper match. Field officer must forge a strong bond with trainees and trained sanginis and counsel them as and when necessary. Once the placement is carried out successfully, the field officer shall be expected to assist in the tracking and supervision of the working Sanginis, ensuring their attendance in Sangini monthly meetings, coordinating their uniforms, IDs, Certifciates and Membership, as well as, pitching in wherever required on the Sangini Helpdesk.
