Key Responsibilities: Operate the cash register while providing service and assistance to customers, including sales promotion. Perform opening and closing procedures: counting daily takings, allocating deposits, verifying and organizing funds according to register declaration, and handing over to the shift supervisor/head cashier. Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area. Provide full customer service at the checkout, including informing customers about promotions. Sell and promote checkout products and credit cards.
