As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for overseeing indirect tax compliances, audits, and litigations for key legal entities at Schneider India. Your role will involve working closely with internal business partners to provide strategic and routine advisory support, identify process improvement opportunities, and drive positive changes across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Manage tax assessments and audits, handle indirect tax litigation, and represent the company before authorities. You will be responsible for drafting replies, appeals, and working with consultants/advocates. - Ensure indirect tax compliances for key legal entities within Schneider India. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enhance tax compliance processes. - Interface with auditors to support the finance team in finalizing statutory accounts and tax audits. - Provide strong support to the Manager in business planning and strategizing for the SE India group's indirect taxation. - Work on projects that impact the future strategy of the indirect tax function to minimize litigation risks. - Develop a deep understanding of the business, partner with key stakeholders, and provide timely support for decision-making. - Coordinate with the Global tax team, share necessary details, and implement best practices. Qualifications: - The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, or Lawyer with at least 10-11 years of post-qualification relevant tax experience, preferably in a large multinational organization with a manufacturing setup. - You should have progressive tax experience with exposure to Indian indirect taxes such as VAT, Excise, and Service Tax. - Sound understanding of ERPs like SAP, Oracle, and experience in tax digital transformation projects is required. - A person of integrity who upholds high business ethical standards. - Strong project management, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are essential. - Ability to work independently, manage key stakeholders at a leadership level, and be a team player. - Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to initiatives.
