About the Role Scale Computing is a leader in providing converged infrastructure solutions to the retail and hospitality industry. Our customers are some of the largest and best known global store, restaurant, and hospitality brands. Our solution is built on a cutting edge Linux based virtualization stack that features total management through a DevOps driven infrastructure. We design, develop, and maintain a software stack that includes a highly available core virtualization solution built on Debian Linux with Corosync, Pacemaker, Docker, and KVM, with supporting management code built in Puppet and Ruby. Our back-end management environment includes Ruby, Rails, and Redis components. The Linux Systems Engineer performs production systems integration work involving Linux, networking, open source tools, and automation, to implement our solutions. Responsibilities: Work directly with clients or project managers to integrate Scale Computings edge compute solutions into their environment to meet their needs. Perform platform code updates and new feature rollouts to edge platform and management plane servers. Demonstrate best-practice knowledge and apply skills to deliver an effective solution specific to client needs. Interface with the development team on projects for clients as well as QA. Some occasional travel to client sites may be required. Success Metrics: Successfully engages in several simultaneous initiatives Completes sprint commitments on time Delivers quality implementations Ability to work as a member of an integrated team Requirements Experience with medium to large scale production environments. High level of knowledge of Linux systems and services, such as network services (iptables, BIND, bridging), Logical Volume management/Volume Groups, security, and installing packages. Strong scripting skills (using Bash. Python is a plus.) Familiarity with Git or other version control software. Experience with log analysis, monitoring and alerting systems (e.g. Splunk/Sensu/etc) Strong understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs (both SSL and IPsec). Advanced networking skills a plus. Experience with AWS EC2 services. Experience with systems automation (e.g. Puppet/Ansible), Puppet experience a plus. Familiarity with corosync/pacemaker or other Linux cluster solutions a plus. Familiarity with DRBD a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes Minimum 2 years of hands-on Linux Systems Administration experience Solid grasp of security concepts and technologies. Ability to work as a team as well as individually Experience with lower powered devices and system tuning. Understanding of virtualization, experience with QEMU/KVM, Experience with containerized environments ( Docker, LXC, Kubernetes, LXD, etc) Experience with payment processing a plus CISSP, or other Security certificates is a plus Familiarity with the PCI-DSS, or other data security standards a plus. Deployment Technician (NOC Operations Tier 1) bengaluru 1 - 4 years INR 4.25 - 7.5 Lacs P.A. Hybrid Full Time

What We’re Looking For The Tier 1 Deployment Technician provides first-level technical support and performs the foundational tasks that keep Acumera’s overnight deployment operations running smoothly. This role focuses on ticket preparation, pre-cutover verification, documentation accuracy, and communication with field technicians during live deployments. Tier 1 technicians work closely with Tier 2 engineers and the Senior Deployment Specialist to ensure each customer site is ready for a successful network cutover. Requirements Responsibilities Prepare nightly deployment tickets and verify readiness for cutover. Perform pre-deployment network checks and validation of IP addressing, configuration templates, and hardware serials. Monitor live deployments and provide first-line troubleshooting (basic connectivity, credential validation, ping tests). Communicate with field technicians and vendors during the installation window to confirm progress and escalate issues as needed. Update JIRA tickets in real time with accurate status notes, timestamps, and completion confirmations. Validate device status in our proprietary network management tool, after cutover and tag results for Tier 2 review. Maintain accurate records in Confluence, including site notes, screenshots, and handoff documentation. Participate in daily shift handoff meetings and report outstanding issues or dependencies. Support continuous improvement by identifying documentation gaps and suggesting updates to deployment checklists. Qualifications Associate degree, diploma, or certification in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field. 1 – 2 years of experience in IT help desk, NOC operations, or basic network support. Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and structured cabling fundamentals. Basic understanding of network topologies, IP subnetting, and VPN concepts . Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Slack preferred. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step deployment procedures.
