Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Shift Time : 6:30 PM-3:30 PMIST Time Zone

We're looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Application Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and ongoing support of SAP applications within a global enterprise environment. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource, partnering closely with Functional Analysts, Design Owners, project teams, and other developers to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on SAP ABAP development experience along with the ability to provide technical design guidance, estimates, code reviews, documentation, and mentorship. This role will work across SAP S/4HANA and related technologies while helping maintain development standards and best practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Partner with Functional Analysts and Design Owners to understand business requirements and develop high-level designs, technical specifications, WRICEF estimates, and solution options.

- Design, develop, modify, and support SAP ABAP solutions following established development standards and project timelines.

- Monitor and manage development requests in ServiceNow, including complexity, WRICEF classification, assignments, status updates, and supporting documentation.

- Perform code reviews, unit testing, technical document reviews, and validation of test documentation prior to deployment.

- Develop and enhance SAP objects including reports, forms, enhancements, BAPIs, RFCs, CDS views, integrations, workflows, and other custom solutions.

- Maintain technical and testing documentation within SAP Solution Manager and ServiceNow.

- Provide technical expertise during project stage gates, troubleshooting efforts, solution design discussions, and complex SAP production support.

- Support technical interviews, onboarding, and knowledge transfer for new development team members while promoting FMC development standards and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

- 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development and support experience, preferably within large, complex enterprise environments.

- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP processes across SD, MM, and FI.

- Advanced ABAP development experience including Adobe/Smart Forms, ALV reports, User Exits, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, RFCs, BRF+, and CDS Views.

- Experience with SAP integrations and development tools including IDocs, workflows, Fiori, SOAMANAGER, SAP Notes, SICF/ITS Mobile, and SAP ILM; exposure to CRM, Ariba, or IBP is a plus.

- Ability to translate functional/business requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, WRICEF estimates, code, testing, and technical documentation.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field, with strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
