Role Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts, HR & Compliance Executive to manage the company’s day-to-day finance operations while also supporting HR administration and statutory compliance. This is a cross-functional role requiring strong accounting fundamentals, working knowledge of Indian statutory requirements, and hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting and payroll systems. The role is critical to maintaining financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and internal process discipline. The executive will with external consultants for audit, IP registration and drafting contracts but is expected to independently manage routine finance and HR operations using cloud-based systems. Key Responsibilities: 1) Bookkeeping & Accounts Management: Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts, including day-to-day accounting entries, journal postings, and reconciliations. Record and reconcile bank transactions, cash entries, expenses, and accruals on a regular basis. Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities in line with accounting best practices. Maintain supporting documentation for all accounting entries to ensure audit readiness. Assist in monthly and year-end closures and coordinate with auditors as required. 2) Billing, Receivables & Payables: Generate and manage quotations, sales invoices, credit notes, and related documentation. Record and track purchase transactions, vendor bills, and expense claims. Monitor accounts receivable and payable, including regular follow-ups for customer payments. Process and track employee reimbursements, ensuring policy compliance, timely payouts, and proper accounting treatment. 3) Statutory & Tax Compliance Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconciliation support). Handle TDS compliance, including deductions, challans, returns, and coordination for Form 16 / 16A. Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements. Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and authorities when required. 4) HR Operations & Payroll Manage employee on-boarding and exit processes, including documentation and statutory formalities. Process monthly payroll using Zoho Payroll, including statutory deductions and reimbursements. Maintain employee records, attendance, leave data, and payroll-related documentation. Draft and maintain HR policies, offer letters, employment agreements, and internal guidelines. Act as the primary point of contact for routine HR and payroll-related employee queries. 5) Compliance & Administrative Support Maintain statutory registers, employment records, and compliance documentation. Support directors in ensuring financial, HR, and operational compliance. Assist in preparing basic MIS reports, cash flow summaries, and operational finance reports for management review. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 2–5 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and statutory compliance roles. Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books and Zoho Payroll (mandatory). Practical understanding of GST, TDS, payroll processing, and accounting fundamentals. Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets. Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to handle confidential information.
