We’re Hiring: Fashion Garment Technician Western Wear | Freelance (Project-Based) – Mumbai, India Rooh Collective is a Sydney-based fashion label creating thoughtful, timeless western wear with purpose. Every garment we create carries intention, care and craftsmanship — and we’re now seeking someone equally devoted to detail to support our growing journey. We’re looking for an experienced Fashion Garment Technician specialising in Western Silhouettes to collaborate with us on a freelance, project-based basis, with strong potential to transition into a full-time role. Your role will include: • Overseeing garment design specifications and technical feasibility • Managing fittings and ensuring impeccable fit and finish • Creating and refining detailed tech packs • Advising on construction methods and production efficiency • Ensuring quality control across samples and production • Working closely with our design and production teams You bring: • Strong expertise in garment construction, pattern making & fabric behaviour • Proven experience in Western Wear (this is essential) • Precision in fit, measurements & sizing processes • Proficiency in technical design software • Clear communication and strong organisational skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly • An understanding of sustainable and ethical fashion practices 🔸 Prior experience in Western Wear is mandatory. Full Time | On Site | Andheri West, Mumbai This role is hands-on and based full-time in our Mumbai studio. We’re currently only reviewing applications from candidates already based in Mumbai. Rooh Collective is a Sydney-based fashion label celebrated for its thoughtful design, timeless elegance and ethical craftsmanship. Every piece we create is responsibly made in India, guided by our commitment to sustainability, quality and conscious growth. This is a hands-on role for someone up-and-coming who enjoys building systems from the ground up. You’ll work closely with founders, pattern makers, tailors, and production leads to improve how work flows — from sampling to cutting, stitching, finishing, and dispatch. You won’t be inheriting a perfect system. You’ll help create it.
