Opportunity: We are seeking a talented and experienced Controls/Electronics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the design, assembly, and programming of advanced control systems for Industrial machinery. Key Responsibilities: Design and Engineering: Create General Assembly (GA) drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on machine logic. Experience drafting detailed 3-line diagrams is a significant plus. Assembly and Wiring: Perform on-site fitting and wiring of devices, ensuring all components are properly installed with wire sleeves. Programming: PLC and HMI programming skillset is preferred, to develop and optimize machine control systems. Ideal Candidate: You have at least 2 years of experience in the controls and automation field. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation. Preferred , not required. SolidWorks CAD Engineer – Power Distribution Focus RMR MACHINES is seeking a skilled SolidWorks Engineer to join our team, specializing in the 3D mechanical layout and design of Power Distribution and Control Panels. We need a precision-focused individual who can leverage SolidWorks expertise to optimize panel design for cost efficiency, rapid manufacturing, and seamless assembly. If your strength lies in transforming component lists into manufacturable, compliant, and optimized enclosures, we want you! Key Responsibilities (The Mechanical/Layout Core) 3D Panel Layout: Utilize SolidWorks as the primary tool to design and detail complex 3D panel layouts of enclosures, including component placement, mounting, bus-bar routing, cable management, and door/hardware integration. Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Work closely with the fabrication and production teams to ensure all enclosure and component designs are optimized for various manufacturing processes (e.g., sheet metal cutting, bending, welding). Cost Optimization: Design layouts that maximize material efficiency and minimize labor time. Interface with our internal costing software by ensuring accurate BOM and dimensional data is extracted from the SolidWorks models. Drawing Generation: Generate detailed 2D manufacturing drawings of components and assemblies using SolidWorks Drawings Standards & Constraints: Ensure all mechanical designs adhere to internal engineering standards and respect the physical space and thermal constraints required by relevant electrical codes (e.g., heat dissipation, clearance requirements). Component Libraries: Maintain and develop accurate 3D libraries of standard electrical components and our products too. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. Minimum of [2-3] years of professional experience in mechanical design and layout. Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks along with 3D Experience and PDM is mandatory . Crucial Requirement: Proven professional experience in the Power Distribution or Switchgear industry , specifically related to the physical design, layout, and manufacturing of LT Distribution Panels or Enclosures . Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques and best practices. Familiarity with the common components and physical constraints of electrical power systems (e.g., bus-bar clearances, cable bending radius, heat management).
