Job Description: Network Engineer and Administrator Company: VerifAI. Live Experience: 1-4Yrs Location: Mangalagiri, AP VERIFAI. LIVE is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer and Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our organization's computer networks. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong understanding of network architecture and security. Key Responsibilities Network Management and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal uptime and speed. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve network problems, including connectivity issues, security breaches, and hardware failures. Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams. Security Implementation: Design and implement security measures, such as firewalls and VPNs, to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats. CCTV System Management: Integrate, configure, and manage IP-based surveillance systems, including cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and Video Management Software (VMS). Ensure the security and proper functioning of the entire CCTV infrastructure. System Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and firmware updates for network devices to maintain a secure and stable environment. Remote Management: Configure, troubleshoot, and manage network and CCTV systems remotely using various management tools and software. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation of configurations, and operational procedures. Capacity Planning: Assist in planning for future network needs by analyzing current usage and recommending improvements and expansions. Required Qualifications and Skills Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 1-4 years) in a network engineering or administration role. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and OSI models. Hands-on experience with network devices from major vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet. Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs). Experience with network security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs. CCTV Systems Knowledge: Understanding of CCTV fundamentals, including various camera types (e.g., analog, IP, PTZ), video codecs (e.g., H.264, H.265), and storage solutions (e.g., NVRs, DVRs). Experience with IP camera configuration, network video recorders (NVRs), and video management software (VMS). Ability to integrate CCTV systems into existing network infrastructure, including proper IP addressing and bandwidth management. Certifications (Preferred): Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCNP are highly desirable. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
