All candidates must have Oil & Gas Maintenance experience in GULF countries.

3.8.3 Education Ten (10) years of school education.

3.8.4 Experience Ten (10) years minimum in the rigging in Refinery or a large petrochemical environment with also experience in material handling equipment.

Rigger should be certified from QatarEnergy approved TPI (Third Party Inspection Agency) and subsequently approved by QatarEnergy.

3.8.5 Age limit Not over the age of Fifty (50) years.

3.8.1 Primary Purpose of the SERVICES

Perform rigging and Lifting work at the Refinery to enable maintenance and installation work on the different equipment of the Refinery including setting up rigging equipment, to transport and erect this equipment at the appropriate work areas, testing and checking and to be able to read crane chart and determine the safe working load to secure safe installation work by the crane operator.

3.8.2 Summary of Major Duties and Responsibilities

- Determine the lifting requirements needs for internal and external scaffolding on building, structures, equipment, and vessels and to arrange for all required materials, tools and equipment in accordance with specific needs.

- Understand hand signals (hydraulic and mechanical) and to provide work directions to crane operator to insure safe operating conditions.

- Prepare all lifting tackles for heavy-duty installation work, including rigging and operating trifor, chain blocks, rope blocks, pneumatic/electric winches, re-rigging cranes and hoists as required and to do greasing of willing wires, ropes associated with such equipment.

- Good knowledge in lifting tackles and tools.

- Good know-how to determine the correct load to be lifted for different slinging arrangements.

- Determine the correct rigging tools for safe lifting and to assist crane operator during emergency situations.
