About the Role We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Associate with a strong background in Surgery Practice billing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing the end-to-end AR process for surgical specialties, ensuring timely payments, accurate claim follow-up, and efficient denial resolution. Key Responsibilities Manage the full AR cycle for assigned surgery practice clients, including claim follow-up, payment posting, and collections. Review and analyze insurance EOBs/ERAs to ensure correct payment posting and identify underpayments. Follow up with payers via calls, portals, and emails to resolve pending and denied claims. Work on claim corrections, resubmissions, and appeals to maximize revenue recovery. Ensure compliance with payer-specific guidelines and maintain HIPAA confidentiality. Collaborate with the coding team to address claim rejections related to coding or documentation. Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and share updates with the management and clients. Track trends in denials and recommend process improvements for faster payment turnaround. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 1–3 years of AR experience in Surgery Practices (Orthopedic, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, etc.) and/ or Internal Medicine. In-depth understanding of RCM processes , CPT & ICD-10 codes relevant to surgical specialties. Proficiency in medical billing software and clearinghouse portals. Strong knowledge of payer policies (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers). Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with payers. Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle high-volume claim follow-up. Preferred Skills Knowledge of prior authorization and precertification processes for surgical procedures. Experience with denial management analytics to identify recurring issues. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
