Retail Store Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Accounting & Billing
Maintain daily sales records, issue accurate invoices, record receipts and payments, and ensure transactions are entered correctly and on time.

2. Sales & Payment Reconciliation
Reconcile daily sales against cash, card, UPI and bank receipts. Identify mismatches, investigate variances and coordinate timely resolution.

3. Cash & Expense Management
Maintain cash records, monitor store-level expenses, verify bills and vouchers, and ensure complete supporting documentation and appropriate approvals.

4. Jewellery Transaction Records
Maintain accurate records of jewellery sales, returns, exchanges and stock-related transactions in coordination with store operations and the central accounts team.

5. GST & Documentation
Ensure accurate GST-related billing documentation and organise invoices, vouchers and supporting records for internal reviews and audits.

6. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare timely daily sales and reconciliation reports; coordinate with store management and central accounts on outstanding entries, discrepancies and closure.

What We Are Looking For

· 2–5 years of accounting experience; experience in jewellery retail, premium retail or high-value transactions is an advantage.

· B.Com or equivalent commerce qualification with sound accounting fundamentals.

· Practical knowledge of billing, cash handling, sales reconciliation and transaction documentation.

· Working knowledge of Tally, POS/billing systems and MS Excel.

· Familiarity with GST invoices and routine accounting documentation.

· Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality.

· Ability to work independently, meet daily cut-offs and communicate discrepancies clearly.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
