Role Summary
Zenara Technologies is seeking a Research Analyst with strong expertise in Indian equity markets, fundamental analysis, and mutual fund evaluation to help build the research engine behind adwizr, our AI-powered financial advisory platform. The role spans stock and mutual fund ratings, industry research, model portfolios, and research-backed stock baskets. It offers a rare opportunity to shape how rigorous investment research is translated into objective, automated, goal-based advice for a wide base of investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental research on Indian listed companies, covering financials, business models, management quality, valuations, growth prospects, and risks.
- Analyse industries, sectors, macroeconomic developments, and market trends to identify investment opportunities and emerging risks.
- Evaluate mutual fund schemes using returns, risk metrics, portfolio composition, fund manager performance, costs, and benchmark comparisons.
- Develop research frameworks, screening criteria, scoring methodologies, and rating models for stocks and mutual fund schemes.
- Create and maintain research-backed stock baskets and model portfolios based on investment strategies, valuations, diversification, and risk considerations.
- Monitor stocks, schemes, ratings, and portfolios; review material developments and recommend changes when warranted.
- Track trends across equities, debt, gold, and other relevant asset classes to develop investment insights.
- Prepare research reports, ratings, industry analyses, portfolio rationales, and market updates supported by reliable data.
- Collaborate with Advisory, Product, and Technology teams to integrate research outputs and methodologies into adwizr.
- Maintain research documentation, review processes, and disclosures in line with applicable SEBI requirements and internal governance standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian equity markets, financial statement analysis, company valuation, and fundamental research.
- Demonstrable interest in capital markets and equity research, evidenced through professional work, published research, investment competitions, or a personal investing track record.
- Sound understanding of mutual fund evaluation and performance analysis.
- Ability to develop stock and mutual fund ratings, screening frameworks, model portfolios, and stock baskets.
- Understanding of portfolio construction, diversification, investment strategies, and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, market data analysis, and research databases.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
Qualifications & Preferred Profile
Mandatory:
Cleared CFA Level II at a minimum; Level III candidates and charter holders are welcome.Education:
MBA/Masters in Finance, CA, or another relevant postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.Experience:
2 - 5 years in equity research, stock analysis, mutual fund research, or investment research.- Experience in Indian brokerage research, AMCs, wealth management, investment advisory, or fintech is preferred.
- Exposure to stock ratings, model portfolios, stock baskets, and investment screening frameworks is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Capitaline, CMOTS, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar, Value Research, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Relevant NISM certifications are an advantage.
- Prior use of AI tools in a professional setting (for example, AI-assisted research, data analysis, or report drafting) is strongly preferred.
