Role & responsibilities Scan items, apply discounts / promotions, calculate totals using POS system (SAP-integrated or similar) Record all sales transactions accurately in the SAP or other ERP system, ensuring data entered correctly to avoid discrepancies Perform cash / card / digital payments, issue receipts, refunds; update transaction status in SAP as required Balance the cash drawer at beginning & end of shift; reconcile with SAP-generated reports or daily summaries Generate reports (sales, refunds, transactions) using SAP or pull required data for store / management review Handle returns and exchanges; ensure that SAP reflects these accurately for inventory and finance Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment; update stock records through SAP if applicable Maintain cleanliness and order of checkout area; ensure all SAP-related hardware (scanners, POS terminal) is functioning properly Maintain knowledge of current store promotions / pricing, product info, and ensure SAP/pricing master data reflects that Preferred candidate profile Has prior experience as a cashier or in a retail / customer-service role Good working knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP) is essential comfortable entering transactions, viewing reports, reconciling data, understanding basic SAP functions relevant to POS / inventory / sales data Strong numeracy & attention to detail — capable of handling cash, doing basic arithmetic accuracy, spotting discrepancies Great communication skills (verbal & interpersonal) Honest, reliable, high integrity, especially in cash handling and financial accuracy Comfortable working under pressure (e.g. during busy hours) Able to stand for long periods; lift / move small stock items or bags; etc. Flexible regarding shifts (including weekends / holidays)
