CFO Designation: Chief Financial Officer Level: Management Process (Department): Finance and Accounts Reporting To: COO Location: Sakinaka, Mumbai Summary of the position: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team and will lead the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations. The role will involve oversight of banking operations including imports and exports , regulatory compliance and reporting , and finalization of financial statements in alignment with international and domestic standards. Position Responsibilities: 1. Banking – Imports & Exports · Oversee international and domestic banking operations. · Manage foreign exchange risk and currency hedging strategies. · Liaise with banks and financial institutions for trade finance, export credit, and working capital. · Monitor LC (Letter of Credit) management, export documentation, and import compliance. · Ensure timely and compliant handling of all banking transactions related to international trade. 2. Compliance & Reporting · Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements including GST, Customs, RBI regulations, and other international financial compliances. · Oversee accurate and timely submission of financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory reports. · Stay updated with evolving compliance regulations and standards both in India and international jurisdictions where the company operates. · Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure clean audit outcomes. · Preparing dashboards and reports for management reviews. 3. Financial Reporting & Balance Sheet Finalization · Lead the preparation and finalization of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and/or IFRS. · Supervise consolidation of accounts across domestic and international subsidiaries or business units. · Provide strategic insights based on financial reports to support business decisions. · Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions. 4. Audit (Internal & Statutory) · Lead coordination with statutory, internal, and tax auditors. · Ensure timely and successful completion of audits with clean audit reports. · Proactively identify, mitigate, and monitor financial and operational risks through internal audit mechanisms. · Implement recommendations from audit findings and strengthen internal controls. 5. Team Management · Manage and mentor a high-performing finance team. · Set clear goals, provide guidance, and encourage skill development. · Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: · Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must; additional qualifications like CPA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) will be a plus. · Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. · Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably jewellery or luxury goods. · Strong knowledge of international trade finance, tax laws, and financial regulations.
