We are seeking an exceptionally qualified and results-driven General Manager for Tool & Mold Design to manage our Tool & Mold Design Department supporting the production of battery casings and covers. This senior leadership role is based at our high-technology manufacturing facility in the Philippines and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of mold design, engineering excellence, and technical operations related to high-precision battery component manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in tool and mold design, design software, and high-volume manufacturing environments, capable of driving operational excellence and developing high-performing engineering teams and developing/managing high performing design teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and optimize all tool and mold design activities for battery casings, covers, components and other assemblies ensuring the highest standards of precision, durability, quality, and efficiency. Manage mold design, review, and validate processes, ensuring designs are optimized for high-volume quality injection molding, manufacturability, and long mold life. Assist in molds tryout of mold component manufacturing standard and work according to the international process. Drive the implementation of advanced design tools, simulation technologies, mold standard parts and modern manufacturing methods to improve mold performance and reduce cycle time, scrap, and downtime. Manage departmental budgets, tooling costs, and capital expenditures with a strong focus on cost efficiency, tooling ROI, and profitability. Oversee daily administrative functions. Mentor, coach, and develop design engineers, mold and tooling specialists, and technical staff to build a skilled, cohesive, and high-performing team. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field (required). Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in tool & mold design and manufacturing, preferably within battery components, automotive, or high-precision plastic injection molding environments. At least 5 years of proven management or director-level experience, leading engineering or tooling teams in complex manufacturing operations. Strong knowledge of common plastic materials, including both virgin and recycled grades, in compliance with ISO standards. Strong practical knowledge and expertise of tool & mold design, injection mold construction, CNC machining, and high-technology manufacturing processes. We are seeking an experienced plant general manager to lead a high-volume plastic injection molding manufacturing facility specializing in battery casings and covers in the Philippines. This role has full responsibility for plant operations, including production performance, quality, financial results, material management, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for a facility operating 46 injection molding machines (45–850 tons) and managing a workforce of approximately 220 employees. Key Responsibilities Lead and optimize high-volume injection molding operations to maximize efficiency, uptime, and output. Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve OEE, reduce scrap, and enhance productivity. Oversee production planning, mold changeovers, preventive maintenance, and equipment utilization. Ensure strict compliance with quality standards for battery components, including ISO-based Quality Management Systems. Oversee quality activities such as PPAP, inspections, root cause analysis, and defect prevention. Manage polymer materials, particularly Polypropylene (PP) (virgin and recycled), including procurement and inventory control. Troubleshoot complex molding and process issues and lead technical teams to sustainable solutions. Provide leadership to production, quality, engineering, HR, and finance teams. Manage budgets, capital expenditures, and cost controls to meet plant P&L objectives. Maintain a safe, compliant, and positive working environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, Industrial, or related field). 10–15 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior plant or general management role in the field. Mandatory experience in high-volume plastic injection molding operations (preferably 40+ machines). Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, quality systems, and polymer materials. Proven leadership experience managing large teams (200+ employees). Experience in battery, automotive, or other high-specification manufacturing environments preferred. Lean, Six Sigma, or quality system certifications are a plus. Must have a strong expertise in handling Polypropylene (PP) polymer materials.
