Job Pu rpose: We are seeking a Communication Manager (mid-level) who can execute our communications strategy, while growing into a leadership role. This person will need to bridge both strategy and execution, ensuring our messaging is clear, emotionally resonant, and trusted by diverse audiences - donors, partners, media, internal stakeholders and communities. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, able to anticipate needs, take initiative, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision. · The candidate will have to work daily from our office in East of Kailash. · Must be able to begin working with RCI from March 2026. Key responsibilities : 1. Content & campaign execution · Develop, write and adapt content across platforms (social media, website, newsletters, donor communications). · Draft press releases, blogs, donor updates, and impact stories with warmth and clarity. · Organise all communications assets as mandated and keep them fully organised going forward. · Support production of visual storytelling assets (films, graphics, photo essays) with an external or internal resource. Donor & stakeholder communication · Create structured donor communication touchpoints (welcome kits, quarterly updates, annual impact reports). · Ensure messaging builds trust, transparency, and long-term engagement. Media & Public Relations · Liaise with journalists, media houses, and sector publications to amplify RCI’s voice. · Manage press coverage, interviews, and thought leadership opportunities. Internal Alignment · Work closely with the programme and fundraising teams to translate frontline impact into compelling narratives for specific donor/funder segments. · Support leadership in preparing external-facing presentations, speeches, and advocacy materials. · Manage internal communications Measurement & Reporting · Track communication metrics (engagement, donor retention, media coverage). · Prepare dashboards and reports to demonstrate impact and learning. Qualifications & Skills · 5-7 years of experience in communications, preferably in the non-profit or social impact sector · Strong writing and editing skills, ability to craft both crisis-driven and hope-driven narratives · Familiarity with digital platforms, social media strategy, and content management tools · Experience in donor communication and stakeholder engagement · Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with agility · Creative eye for visual storytelling - comfortable collaborating with designers/filmmakers · Strong interpersonal skills- collaborative, empathetic, and adaptable · Self-motivated and proactive - able to anticipate needs, take initiative, and independently drive projects forward Growth Path: · 6 months: Execute campaigns, donor communications, and media outreach with guidance · Year 1 & 2: Follow the set strategy and execute campaigns, donor communications, and media outreach independently · Year 3 onwards: Evolve into a Senior Communications Manager, shaping strategy, mentoring junior staff, and representing RCI externally.
