Senior Quality Manager The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s quality strategy, ensuring compliance with industry standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and overseeing quality assurance and quality control functions. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, improve processes, and support customer satisfaction. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Leadership & Strategy Develop and implement the company’s quality vision, policies, and objectives. Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams. Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence. Compliance & Standards Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA, GMP, etc.—customizable). Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS). Manage internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections. Quality Assurance Oversee product lifecycle quality—including design, development, manufacturing, and ongoing support. Implement risk-management processes such as FMEA, CAPA, and root cause analysis. Approve quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, specifications). Quality Control Ensure effective inspection, testing, and verification procedures. Monitor product quality metrics and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Reduce defect rates through data-driven decision making. Continuous Improvement Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and process-improvement initiatives. Identify operational inefficiencies and drive productivity enhancements. Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for quality performance. Customer & Supplier Quality Manage customer complaints, product returns, and quality-related escalations. Oversee supplier quality programs, audits, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with suppliers to implement quality improvement plans. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (Master’s preferred). 8–12+ years of experience in quality roles, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership position. Strong knowledge of QMS standards (ISO, GMP, FDA, etc.). Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and process optimization tools. Proven experience managing audits and regulatory inspections. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
