Job Title: Design Engineer Location: IMT Manesar, Delhi NCR Experience: 4 - 5 years Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering Industry: Automobile, SPM, Jigs & Fixtures Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing components, assemblies, jigs, fixtures, and special purpose machines (SPMs) using AutoCAD and 3D design software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and performance standards are met. Key Responsibilities Design and develop FIxtures, SPMs, assembly line components, and machine sub-systems. Create and evaluate design concepts based on customer requirements and project constraints. Selection and integration of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical components. Generate detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using standard CAD tools. Perform critical engineering calculations to validate and optimize designs. Coordinate and conduct Design Approval Processes (DAP) and incorporate feedback into final designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, procurement, quality, and installation) to ensure successful project execution. Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, inspection, and installation. Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and customer specifications. Required Skills Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, Solid edge) and 2D drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD) Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and design standards Hands-on experience in FIxture design, SPMs, and automation machinery Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems Familiarity with industrial design standards and safety compliance Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and engineering analysis skills Effective communication and documentation skills Ability to manage design projects independently and lead cross-functional collaboration Experience in handling customer technical discussions and approvals.
