Job Description

Role Overview: Join Goldman Sachs as an Engineer where you will have the opportunity to make things possible by connecting people and capital with ideas. You will be part of the Equities Systematic Volatility Trading Strats team, working on automating key decisions in the ETF business to optimize hedging decisions, develop trading algorithms, and enhance decision-making processes using statistical analysis techniques and mathematical models. Your role will involve collaborating closely with sales and trading, supporting automated pricing and trading systems, and working with a range of technologies in the software development life cycle. Key Responsibilities: - Automate pricing of ETFs to provide fast and accurate prices in response to client quote requests. - Implement automated hedging algorithms and develop risk management frameworks across asset classes. - Conduct systematic and quantitative analysis of franchise flows and market data to drive business decisions and automation platform design. - Collaborate with sales and trading teams to support automated pricing and trading systems. - Engage in all stages of the software development life cycle, using various technologies and working closely with engineering teams supporting infrastructure and frameworks. Qualifications Required: - Excellent academic record in a relevant quantitative field like physics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science. - Strong analytics skills with experience in quantitative modeling and data analytics. - Minimum of 2 years of experience. - Proficiency in programming with a focus on Java, Python, and their core concepts in an object-oriented or functional paradigm. - Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a high-pressure environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
