As a Project Site Engineer in the Engineering division based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, your primary responsibility will be to install and commission electroplating and surface treatment projects at customer locations according to the provided drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will be expected to demonstrate excellent drawing reading skills and possess the ability to lead and inspire a team of workers effectively. It is essential that you are well-versed in standard and safe installation practices, including alignments, aesthetics, cleanliness, and safety precautions. Your role will also require you to showcase a high level of creativity in problem-solving and a strong work ethic. In addition to these technical skills, punctuality, trustworthiness, and a willingness to travel and stay at various project locations are crucial aspects of this role. You should have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes, installation procedures, and relevant regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is also necessary. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting daily progress reports based on checklists, inspecting work completed by contractors, coordinating with customers, and documenting minutes of the meeting when required.
