Job Explanation & Preferred Skills / Expertise: Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems, specifically within the manufacturing industry. Proven experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean), and tools. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field . Experience: Minimum 5-10 years in Quality Assurance/Control , preferably in a manufacturing or production environment . Certifications (Preferred): ISO 9001, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing. Technical Skills: Knowledge of QC tools, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and Auditing . Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills Key Responsibilities: 1. Managing QC Lifecycle Supervise and oversee quality inspections from incoming materials to Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) . Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company SOPs in all QC activities. Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues effectively. 2. Reducing Rejections & Improving Quality Analyse and monitor Customer Rejection PPM to identify trends and implement corrective actions. Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) by identifying and addressing internal & external defects . Maintain and review the Customer Complaint Register to drive continuous improvement initiatives. 3. Supplier Evaluation & Audits Develop and implement Supplier Evaluation Plans & SOPs . Conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards. Work closely with suppliers to improve incoming material quality . 4. Process Improvement Implement quality enhancement initiatives in Production, Fabrication, Space Management, and Health & Safety . Identify process gaps and drive improvements through data-driven strategies. Ensure compliance with 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies . 5. Team Management & Leadership Guide, mentor, and support the quality team in achieving targets and improving performance . Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) and ensure a structured induction for new team members . Organize Monthly Review Meetings to assess team performance, provide feedback, and offer recognition. Address team-related challenges, including psychological well-being, behaviour, leave management, and workflow coordination . 6. Reporting & Database Management Ensure periodic updates of quality reports & databases in compliance with ISO standards . Prepare and share Individual QC Reports and Inter-Departmental QC Reports in a timely and accurate manner. Develop and maintain Monthly QC Review Presentations for senior management. Keep Employee QC Induction & Customer Quality Presentations updated. 7. Training & Knowledge Transfer Continuously upgrade knowledge on quality-related topics and standards. Conduct and attend weekly training sessions for knowledge transfer across teams. Ensure the team is well-versed in best quality practices and regulatory updates .
